信用證（Letter of Credit, L/C）是國際貿(mào)易中最常見的付款方式之一。

前面幾期我們介紹了信用證的內(nèi)容和種類，今天我們從具體操作層面來看，作為出口商，怎么要求客戶修改信用證，以及延展信用證的裝運(yùn)期和有效期？

出口商要求修改信用證

收到信用證后，要先仔細(xì)檢查，如果發(fā)現(xiàn)其條款和合同、銷售確認(rèn)書不相符時，必須要求進(jìn)口方修改信用證，其要點(diǎn)包括：

1. 確認(rèn)收到相關(guān)信用證
2. 說明信用證有不符之處
3. 指出具體的錯誤
4. 要求修改
5. 期盼回復(fù)

出口商要求延展信用證

當(dāng)出口商在信用證規(guī)定的期限內(nèi)并不能裝運(yùn)時，就得請求進(jìn)口商延展信用證的裝運(yùn)期和有效期，其內(nèi)容一般包括：

1. 指出相關(guān)信用證及期限
2. 請求延展信用證
3. 說明延展的理由
4. 說明延展的期限
5. 期盼回復(fù)

*注：

• 有關(guān)信用證的信函需語言簡潔，語氣誠懇。
• 如果是己方不慎給對方帶來了麻煩，一定要道歉。同時，對于對方的要求，在不影響己方利益的前提下也最好盡量滿足。

Please amend them according to the contract.

請按合同修改這些規(guī)定。

Shipment 裝運(yùn)相關(guān)

Please amend L/C No.180 as allowing transshipment and partial shipments.

請修改第180號信用證，允許轉(zhuǎn)船和分批裝運(yùn)。

Since there is no direct ship sailing for your port, we would request you to amend your L/C to allow transshipment.

由于沒有駛往你港的直達(dá)輪，我方要求修改信用證，允許轉(zhuǎn)船。

The bill of landing should be “…” instead of “…”

提單應(yīng)為“…”，而不是“…”

Order 訂單相關(guān)

Amount should be increased up to $100,000.

金額應(yīng)該增至 100,000美元。

The amount both in figures and in words should respectively read “…”

大小寫金額應(yīng)分別為“…”

Quantity should be reduced to 152 cartons.

數(shù)量應(yīng)該減至152箱。

Payment 支付相關(guān)

Please delete from the L/C the clause, “All bank commissions and charges are for beneficiary’s account”. Such should be paid by the importing party only.

請從信用證中刪去此條款：“所有銀行傭金和費(fèi)用由受益人支付”，這些費(fèi)用理應(yīng)由進(jìn)口方承擔(dān)。

出口商要求延展信用證

As there is not direct ship available this month, we should like to request you to extend the validity of your L/C No. 1234 to August 15.

由于本月沒有直達(dá)輪，我方要求延長第1234號信用證的有效期至8月15日。

Owing to the delay in opening L/C, shipment cannot be made as contracted and should be postponed to September.

由于開證延誤，裝運(yùn)不能按合同進(jìn)行，要延遲到9月份。

Please extend the validity of the letter of credit No. 180 to September 20.

請將第180號信用證延期至9月20日。

Please have the L/C No. 180 extended until September 20 so that we may make shipment without fail.

請將第180號信用證延期至9月20日以便我方能安排好裝運(yùn)。

Please extend the date of shipment and the validity of your L/C No. 1234 to August 20 and September 10 respectively and arrange the amendment advice to reach us by July 15.
